" NO " TO UNLIMITED HOSTING | Web Hosting: What is Overselling? The problems with overselling ( unlimited )?

W3SERVICES INFOTECH doesn't promote "Unlimited" hosting packages because we think they're misleading.

Here is why we do not like it and promote it :
Unlimited plans are impossible. Your site is hosted on a server. It's got a limited amount of disk space. The network interfaces it uses can only push through so much data per second. The CPUs can only do so much processing per second. These are physical limitations that no "unlimited" plan can get around. With a shared hosting plan, there are multiple sites hosted on each server, so your site's portion of server capacity is a fraction of its physical limitations.
When a host offers an "unlimited" package, they're really just not disclosing how small your site's portion of server resources is. Some hosts will overload a server with "unlimited" sites, so what the customer actually gets is a lot less than they expect. These plans also include standard clauses restricting your site from using a disproportionate amount of server resources. do a web search and you'll find hundreds of complaints about sites that have had their "unlimited" plans suspended for using too many resources.
Our plans and packages don't try to compete with this misleading marketing. We don't sell plans that don't make sense. We won't put 1000+ "unlimited" sites on a single server. When you subscribe to one of our plans, you can be sure that the server is capable of delivering what you're paying for.

In a nutshell, it means selling beyond capacity to deliver and/or below cost.

This allows you to create sub-account accounts with unlimited allocated hard drive space and bandwidth, even if you don’t technically have the space or bandwidth available.
Overselling is where a web hosting provider has (for example) 100GB space and 1000GB data transfer on their server. They sell 150 accounts, each with 1GB space and 10GB data transfer. Severs that manage/having extremely busy forums or websites containing a lot of content, databases or scripts using heavy code, every other website on that sever can face decreased performance and even possible security threats as a result.

These problems are usually visible during holiday seasons and peak Internet surfing hours (5-9pm), overselling will cause a website to timeout or increase page load speeds which is not good for business.

The Problems With Overselling ( Unlimited Hosting Plans ) : -
> Slower response times
> Affect SEO rankings (rank lower in Google)
> Increase website bounce rate
> Create more security threats
> Increase timeouts (website being offline)

Web hosts ( Many Hosting Companies ) are offering larger and larger packages, often with the sole purpose of attracting customers with their monster offerings and with little concern to how they will actually make good on their promises if someone ever took them up on it. This is both reckless and foolish because it is false advertising.

We all know there is no such thing as a free lunch and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
